Refunds Policy

The Information Architecture Design (IAD) Framework seeks to act fairly, reasonably, and in good faith in all matters relating to registrations, memberships, events, learning activities, and participant access.
This Refund Policy outlines the circumstances under which refunds may be requested and how such requests are considered.
General Principles
The IAD Framework offers a range of activities that may include live events, recordings, learning materials, memberships, publications, and other forms of access.
Because many Framework activities involve the provision of digital materials, recordings, intellectual property, membership benefits, or other resources that cannot be returned once supplied, refunds are not automatically available in all circumstances.
Each request is assessed in accordance with this policy and, where appropriate, the specific circumstances involved.
Participant-Initiated Refund Requests
Participants who are unable to attend an activity or who wish to cancel a registration may request a refund by emailing:

Refund requests should be submitted as soon as reasonably possible.
When considering a request, the IAD Framework may take into account factors such as:
- whether the activity has already taken place;
- whether recordings, materials, or other resources have already been supplied or made available;
- whether membership benefits have already been activated;
- whether alternative access has been offered;
- the nature of the circumstances giving rise to the request.
Refund requests are assessed on a case-by-case basis and are not automatically approved.
Rescheduled Activities
Where an activity is rescheduled by the IAD Framework and a participant is unable to attend because of the change, reasonable efforts will first be made to identify a suitable alternative.
This may include access to recordings, transfer to a future offering, credit toward another activity, or another reasonable arrangement.
If no suitable alternative can be agreed upon, a refund may be requested and will be considered in accordance with this policy.
Cancellation by the IAD Framework
Where an activity is cancelled by the IAD Framework and no reasonable alternative arrangement can be provided, affected participants will ordinarily be entitled to an appropriate remedy.
Depending upon the circumstances, this may include a refund, transfer, credit, replacement activity, or alternative access.
The nature of any remedy will depend upon the specific activity concerned and any benefits already provided.
Memberships
Membership fees support the ongoing development and operation of the IAD Framework and may provide access to resources, communications, recordings, publications, events, participation opportunities, or other benefits.
Unless required by law or otherwise stated, membership fees are generally non-refundable once membership benefits have been activated or made available.
Exceptional circumstances may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Digital Materials and Recordings
Where recordings, publications, downloadable resources, or other digital materials have already been supplied or made available, refunds may be limited or unavailable.
This reflects the nature of digital content, which cannot ordinarily be returned once accessed or delivered.
Exceptional Circumstances
The IAD Framework recognises that unforeseen circumstances may arise.
Requests falling outside the situations described in this policy may still be submitted for consideration and will be assessed in good faith on a case-by-case basis.
Changes to This Policy
The IAD Framework may update this Refund Policy from time to time to reflect changes in Framework activities, services, legal requirements, operational practices, or participant needs.
The most current version published on the website shall apply.
